It is our job to be advocates for our dog and I aim to show you how to do that!
A little about me!
My name is Melissa Graunke and I am the owner and head trainer of Paws and Reflect K9 Training!
All my life I’ve had an affinity with animals and a passion for working with them. My love for animals first turned into a career when I started working for a small local animal shelter. I worked there for 10 years working with dogs and cats with different backgrounds and temperaments. While I was working at the shelter I started school to become a vet tech. I graduated Argosy University in 2005 with my Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology and acquired my certification shortly thereafter in 2006. After obtaining my degree and certification I worked for a few different veterinary clinics. My 13 years working in the veterinary field strengthened my passion for studying animal nutrition and behavior.
I have also been volunteering with Minnesota Pitbull Rescue for the last 7+ years. I have two dogs, Hiccup and Glitch, and two cats, Reginald and Clark. I truly enjoy helping animals and their families work and grow together which is what lead me into becoming a trainer!
